Another great volume. This series is only getting better and better. Can't wait to get to the point where anime ended, so that's why I'm trying to read these as fast as I can. On to the next one!

I'm not sure if Tsukiyama is more charming or creepy. Probably both. And yes, I had forgotten how disturbing the whole "ghoul restaurant" scene actually was. *shivers* Also, I had promised myself I wouldn't read all the four volumes all at once and, guess what... I didn't keep my promise. I am not to be trusted when books and patience are involved. I neeed volume 5 right now.

First off, if it wasn't for the fact that Tsukiyama is a ghoul I would believe him to be a pedophile. He's a serious weirdo. I did think it was interesting how he had a secret place where "lunch" is prepared and what not. But if I were Kaneki I would have ran far away from that psycho path. Even for a ghoul he's out there and that's saying a lot. I also get why they called him "gourmet-san". He's like a ghoul foodie. I'd be a foodie if I were a ghoul. If you have to eat people you might as well eat them the best way possible! *shudders* Ghouls are basically cannibals if they were considered human. It's weird since they look like humans but technically are not humans. So they wouldn't really be cannibals right? I don't know how that works so I'm just going to say no to that one. The series is really good so far! Can't wait to see what happens next!

Am I the only one who likes Tsukiyama? Well, he is hilariously crazy! I liked the humor in this one. I really enjoy interactions between Kaneki and Touka.)Kaneki learning martial arts? There is nothing more interesting than a sweet guy trying to learn how to fight. And becoming badass as he goes.)

Shu Tsukiyama!I hate that guy. He's one of the new characters we're introduced to, and he's a whole new level of insane and cazy. He's called a gourmet ghoul for a reason. The manga is getting bloodier, and everyone seems to talk about Rize's death. and it seems like that events that happened in the first chapters aren't what it seems. It's getting more interesting!

I enjoy this series while I read it, but I rarely think of it while I take a break. The characters are forgettable enough that I forget most of their names until I either google, or it comes up in a conversation. I felt so disoriented reading this (though that's probably due to the fact that I put it down mid chapter and forgot about it for a few days) a lot was happening and it felt messy. The chapters feel more like short stories than a cohesive plot line and character arcs, which isn't a bad thing if you're into that; but I'm not. One thing I really liked about this volume was watching Ken Kaneki fight. He's a strategist with a (sometimes) quick mind, which makes for some great fight scenes where he analysis his opponent's strengths and weaknesses and finds the best methodical way to fight back.

Die erste Hälfte war sehr ruhig aber dafür wurde es zumende umso spannender. Die Endszene hat mir sehr gut gefallen und die neue Rolle des Gourmets fand ich sehr interessant. 4 Sterne 🌟

This volumes revolves around, Shuu Tsukiyama. He is the Hannibal Lecter of the Tokyo Ghoul universe and by far the most irritating person in the series. He is supposed to be good looking, which actually adds to his irritating-ness(?)And I will correct myself. He is a Hannibal Lecter wannabe. Dubbed, "The Gourmet" by the other ghouls, he is eccentric, flamboyant when it comes to fashion and speech. Always well-dressed, always proper, The Gourmet eats in style and only the finest quality of meat. He also makes me want to gag on my own tongue. He has interests in all things classy and fancy. He uses words like "hour-devours" and "A La carte" a lot. Yuk. He is a total jerk with no sense of guilt and no value for life (not even ghoul life). Although his over the top dialogues makes me wanna kick his ass, he is still entertaining as hell. He wants to (view spoiler)[ eat Kaneki. Because he wants to have a new taste. The taste of a half-ghoul. You know, 'cause he be so choosy about his food choices. Quality is of utmost importance. *rolls eyes*. He even manages to corner Kaneki at one point.(hide spoiler)]He really freaked me out a little at some points. I consider myself to have a strong stomach for gore. There's a scene where he rips out just the eyes of woman, because they were a beautiful color. (view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] Damn freaky. And there are other scenes in the manga which kinda give you the creepers. Like live men having their arms ripped off.Kaneki learns a little about Rize and the fact her death might not be accidental. The story is coming together nicely, and the plot is getting streamlined. And Kaneki is turning out to be such a wonderful character. A little silly and timid, but so brave. He is slowly fitting in the world of Ghouls and finding his own path to follow. I like how he doesn't just listen to others and follows his own heart. The most endearing quality he possesses is his selflessness. He is good. And his goodness has an effect on people around him. We couldn't have had a better protagonist.*rubs hands for Volume 5*["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

It's taking me ages to catch up with the manga, but I'll get there... eventually. But let me just say, this was FUCKING amazing. I loved every little thing about this volume. All the scenes were great and I like this much more than the anime. This volume was when Tsukiyama, the Trash Lord that we all know and love was introduced. Hence, Tsukiyama looking fresh on the cover. And seeing Hide was such a rude shock for me, especially after season 2. *cries*I can't wait to read the next volume...

I love rereading a favorite series. Picking up on things you may have missed. Seeing your favorite characters when they're just fetuses.

This was very strange and I'm quite weirded out now. Still dark and character building, but it seems to be rehashing old themes. I'd like a story arc rather than individual random volumes!

I feel sick!!This volume was very graphic!!!! The ghoul restaurant is sick! As soon as I start liking this tsukiyama gourmet kid he betrays Kaneki. Kaneki really shouldn't trust anybody. I don't like Itori neither. She's overstaying her welcome becoming Kaneki 's friend. And now she's asking him for information?? Seriously????On the bright side tho, Kaneki is getting a rep being the one eyed ghoul that smells like humans and kills doves. I mean he's quite strong. Maybe this really ain't a good thing, but its progress Good volume!!! Great art! I love it!!
