DNF @ 62% I just don't think I can continue reading this ridiculously melodramatic story. I gave it all I had and this is where I quit: At the part where the heroine KNOWSthe hero has a problem with her secret and she continues to do it anyway. All the while knowing it's killing him. Because that's love *heavy sarcasm*I was already getting fed up with this sappy "Too good to be true" hero but when the heroine reveals her big secret to him...SPOILER ALERT!that she records a webcast where she seductively bakes goodies nearly naked to pay her debts and help her sister through college and then, knowing how it tears him up inside that she's sharing this piece of herself, thisIntimatepiece of herself with strangers across the web, she decides to keep doing it? That was where I had to stop. I can't say I'm not morbidly curious to find out of she actually has a conscience and doesn't upload this latest video, that she filmed after a particularly steamy session of Make-up Sex they just had but I just can't do it. Blue is such a sweet guy and maybe he's just too damn understanding and caring for my taste because he's trying to wrap his head around it and YES, Lizzie does do a lot of other amazing things for people and she's a good girl but I just can't get behind a heroine who is willingly giving away pieces of herself just to make ends meet. To me that's not what the "American Dream"is all about. It's blood, sweat and tears. It's working hard and fightingHARDERto carve out a life you can be proud of at the end of the day. It's not about easy fixes or shortcuts. And with so many people and circumstances trying to take a piece out of you ALREADY, why divvy out more than necessary?*End Rant*My main problem with this book was not only the deceit of the hero, (who already has trust issues from a previous relationship) but the blatant disregard for his feelings in continuing with her (what I perceived as selfish) endeavors. Also, the kissing. 25% of the first half was nothing but kissing! Jesus. kiss, kiss, kiss, kiss, KISS!I understood why but the author should have chopped at least six or seven of the kissing scenes. Just saying. I'm sure this book wouldn't be terrible to other readers but I value integrity and courage of conviction in my characters. Not demeaning and/or degrading actions to get them ahead and then expect everyone to just magically be on board with their plans. Personally, for me, I'd rather take out all the loans necessary and spend the rest of my life paying them back than to sell myself out to attain it sooner.

Blue Ryder has been interested in Lizzie Barber from the very first time he saw her but in the one year since then, she has rejected every one of his advances. Blue is not willing to give up and helping her fix up her kitchen is the perfect opportunity to be close to her and wear down her resistance. Lizzie has put her social life on hold because of her secret life and while it's difficult to resist Blue, her concerns about his reaction to her secret mean that she must continue to resist him, but a moment of weakness changes everything between them and now that she's had a taste of what a relationship with him would be like, it's hard to give him up even though she knows she mus come clean before things get too deep between them. I love this series but I think that this book is one of my favorites. Blue and Lizzie's story is not just sweet and passionate and romantic, but it's also messy, difficult and imperfect. Lizzie is such an interesting mix of naughty and nice, with very strong convictions and a very giving heart. Many people would do anything for themselves, but I don't know how many would put their lives on hold for someone else to that extent. My only issue was that she did not come clean with Blue before starting anything. And Blue. Not many guys would be so understanding of their girlfriend's secret life but after his initial reaction (which really made me mad) wore off, he was able to appreciate her motivation and her business skills. And I love that he's so open about how he feels about her, so honest about his concerns and so willing to deal with them constructively. SEIZED BY LOVE was a bit out of the box of what I've come to expect from Ms. Foster but after my initial discomfort, I loved it. It may be easy to judge someone for their choices when those choices are not what we expect of them, but no-one really knows the lengths they would go to in certain situations until they find themselves there. I love how good together Blue and Lizzie were and how much they had in common, from their giving natures to their shared sexual interests. This story is not just about Blue and Lizzie's hot chemistry and sexy interludes and how they worked out their issues, but it's also about family expectations and unconditional love and support. The way I see it, a lot of Lizzie's angst about her show was tied to her conservative upbringing, the expectations of others and her fear of disappointing them. I actually love that Ms. Foster brought something very fresh to this series with SEIZED BY LOVE and I'm looking forward to the rest of the Ryder siblings' stories.Disclaimer: I received this book for free from the Author in exchange for an honest review. Our Rating: Truth? I usually have issues when the heroine is involved in something like stripping, which is pretty much the category into which Lizzie’s side job falls. It’s not that I’m judging; it’s simply that I can’t identify with the character or really understand her the way I want to. But I just couldn’t pass up a book by Melissa Foster, and (as I should probably just expect by now), Lizzie made perfect sense to me.She wasn’t necessarily proud of her secret life on video, but she was absolutely proud of the reason she was doing it. Determined to keep herself out of perpetual debt and give her younger sister the same security, she hosted her own sexy cooking show online but did her best to preserve what little modesty she could and also conceal her identity. Lizzie was pretty much the definition of a woman taking care of her family and doing exactly what she needed to, to create a better life for herself.Blue was just about the sweetest, sexiest romance novel hero I’ve read. He was immediately taken by Lizzie, and he didn’t give up on her, despite her constant rejections — yet he did it without turning into some creepy stalker. He made his interest clear, treated her with friendship and respect, and just kept trying, sure that they could have something great if she’d just give him a chance. Their friendly past also gave them just the right kind of history for their romance to quickly take off without ever feeling rushed.I couldn’t help feeling sorry for Lizzie as she and Blue became closer, and that’s what made the story so compelling. Lizzie was caught between that proverbial rock and a hard place, knowing that Blue would certainly take issue with her Naked Baker alter-ego but being unable to resist falling for him all the same. The closer they got to happier ever after, the more problematic the consequences would be when the truth came out.Blue’s reaction when she eventually came clean was just as realistic as the rest of Lizzie’s story, though. He was angry and jealous and all tied in knots, but the good guy in him just couldn’t completely turn on her like one might expect. All the things that made him so great as they were building their relationship came together and allowed him (after his initial blow up, of course) to begin to understand and try to keep an open mind.I’m beginning to think it’s just not possible to resist the characters Melissa Foster writes. While the stories always head toward that messy, modern fairy tale ending for which we read romance in the first place, there’s just something more real and unpredictable about her characters. And with so many books and series tied together now, one might start expecting the characterizations to begin repeating themselves, but that’s not the way Foster writes. Each new hero and heroine is somehow just a bit different, just unique enough and dealing with a plot just a tad more realistic and engaging than your usual romance fare. Seized by Love is exactly that kind of stand-out difference that makes this whole series something worth staying up way too late to finish.*Fic Central received a free copy of this book from Tasty Book Tours.

Reviewed @ Confessions From Romaholics Review copy kindly provided by publisher in exchange for a honest reviewSeized in Love is the first in the newest spin off series from Foster which is part of the ever growing parent series Love in Bloom and gives us the story of Liz and Blue to individuals we have gotten to know in the Seaside Night SeriesI wanted their story ever since I finished Sky and Sawyer’s story which was my first taste of Foster’s writing as I fellow in love with these characters and wanted to know these characters. I love the whole concept of this series and this my fourth book in recent months of Foster’s that is tied in some way to the Love in Blooms series. As Liz was a girl who had a story to tell as who knew that the girl had a secret like that . As she may be known as the feisty flower shop owner but why would Liz rebuke a man like Blue. There was nothing bad about this man, he was a gentle man from all counts and there wasn’t any bad secrets to be hidden. But Liz did and I as so happy to see that the first in Ryder series was Blue and her’s story .Well turns out there was something keep Liz back, a secret that has caused her grief and has torn her apart. Her Naked Baker secret that was a suprisngly little kinky twist that was destroying her as she wasn’t that girl exactly and she was getting wary of the secret as she wanted to give it up but family obligations meant otherwise.I finally understood her fully then and there when I learnt the truth though I wasn’t happy that she wasn’t wanting to less her burden and assume Blue would get mad. As she is a girl of his own heart , one that gives and wants to help people. However will that be enough? As Blue was one of the rare ones. He loved Liz for over a year and has never stopped fighting for her even though she fought back and was stubborn. I wanted Liz to forget for a second and be seized by the love that was lurking inside her as Blue wasn’t going to wait forever or was he?Foster’s latest instalment in Love in Bloom series is an another well round story that delivers what we have come to love about this series. Love , friends and family. All which came into play here as all their issues were to deal with those three things that they want. Simple things which turned to complicated problems. I liked the nice twist with the slightly kinky angle with Liz. It offered a spark of something naughty and different story from the same old with this series.Seized by Love is a welcome addition and great start to a new series from Foster and I can’t wait to get to know the other Ryders. They are the perfect additions to Love in Bloom and definitely will live up to what we love about this series.4.5 couplesFor more of my reviews, visit Confessions From Romaholics. And drop by the blog's Facebook page

Yes, it's that time again... A new Melissa Foster book is like Christmas. As part of my tradition for reviewing her books, I pick a word, or a phrase in this case, that pops into my head as I read the book. The first book in Melissa's newest spin-off series, Seized by Love reintroduces readers to the Ryders. After meeting and getting to know Blue and Lizzie a little bit better, "single-minded determination" would describe them to a tee. When both of them sets their sights on a goal, that's it. They are focused entirely on that goal until it is well within their grasp. The moment Blue met Lizzie at mutual friend's wedding, he knew she was the one. And even though it took a year for him to finally win her over, Blue would tell anyone that it was a year well spent. True, he would have rather spent those 365 days with Lizzie in his arms, but if that was what it took to have her heart forever, then he would have done it again in a heartbeat. Lizzie has had to pay her own way for as long as she can remember. In order to pay for her college tuition, Lizzie brought the Naked Baker to life. Now that her sister is in school, Lizzie is determined to pay her way, even if it means hiding her secret identity for four more years and risk losing Blue in the process. With her hard work and determination, Lizzie was able to make her webcast a huge success and, in turn, is able to have her own flourishing flower business. Once together, their focus was turned on making their budding relationship work and it was such a pleasure watching them fall for each other. It is no secret that I adore Melissa Foster. Her books are a little slice of romance heaven and I honestly can't get enough of them. If there were more hours in the day, I would probably spend more of them re-reading her previous works. Seized by Love was another Melissa masterpiece. I always love when she starts a new spin-off series because that means I get to fall in love with a whole new set of characters.I received an ARC copy in exchange for a honest review.

I received an ARC of this book from Tasty Book Tours in exchange for an honest review and as part of the book's blog tour promotions. There are books and series that I just love following. Melissa Foster's Love In Bloom series has become one of those for me. Seized By Love is yet another "spin-off" of a bigger series, Love In Bloom. Beginning with this book, we are being introduced to the Ryders, a new family that will, no doubt, capture readers' hearts. I love the setup of the Love In Bloom series because it branches out from one family to another, but the skeleton of an MF book is still very evident with every book. That's family, love, and friends.I loved the hero of this book. Blue was a true nice guy who wasn't afraid to wear his heart on his sleeve. He's been in love with the heroine for long, and he never gave up on her even when she kept fighting his efforts. The heroine was a girl who was strong. She was the type to do anything she can for her family. They main characters were really a great match because they were both family-oriented and loyal people. I am the kind of person who likes their books dirty and messy and even unredeemable sometimes. Most of the time, though, I like contemporary romance novels for the simple fact that they are realistic, the characters and the plot could simply happen to anyone, and that it's easy to picture an entire book in your head because there are so many things to relate to in the book. Ms. Foster always does a wonderful job of giving her readers amazing characters that are easy to identify with. Whatever type of person you are, from whatever social circle you belong to, you'll definitely find yourself in at least on of her books. Seized By Love is definitely a hugely enjoyable read for me that I'd love to recommend.

When the camera starts rolling, Lizzie transforms herself into a sultry baking vixen. With little more than a strategically placed apron, she seduces the camera twice a week as the Naked Baker. While in college Lizzie’s family came on hard times. Forced to pay her way through college, she started a webcast cooking show, Cooking with Coeds. Disguising herself with a blonde wig and black frames, she was able to use the profits from the show to pay for her school. But after she graduated, it was her sister’s turn to go off to college. Not wanting her to have to worry about the cost, or putting the burden on her parents, Lizzie changed Cooking with Coeds to the Naked Baker and continued filming twice weekly shows. Although not proud of how she was making money, she knew that it was what she had to do for herself and her family. No one knew about this secret life that she was living. Not her family … not even her best friend.Blue has persistently asked Lizzie to date him, but with two more years until her sister graduates, and she can stop doing the webcasts, Lizzie doesn’t want to get involved with anyone. But to the surprise of Blue, and even Lizzie herself, she accepts a date. The connection they share is undeniable, but knowing that she has to confess her secret, and concerned with how he’s going to react, has Lizzie on edge. She has finally given her heart to Blue. With the confession of her sexy webcast, will he be able to take the heat? Or will he be forced to get out of the kitchen? This delectable book has the perfect blend of sweetness and spice. With a great storyline, hot characters and sinfully delicious love scenes, you will savor every page, but devour it in no time.

Seized by Love is a hot romance and is part of a new spin off series from Melissa Fosters Love in Bloom books. Here we meet Blue from the Ryder family and the lady who stole his heart Lizzie Barber. The book is set in Cape Cod, USA. Blue is a craftsman who works locally and is refurbishing Lizzie's kitchen. He's been asking her out on a date for a year but she keeps turning him down. Blue is from a large family with brothers and a sister, they have strong family values and are a great loving family.Lizzie runs her own flower shop and takes care of the expenses so that her sister can go to college. Lizzie had to support herself through college when her Dad became sick and she found a lucrative side job which helped her out. During the day Lizzie delivers cakes to the homeless and puts flowers on unattended graves. She's a very warm hearted and caring person.Twice a week Lizzie films a solo webcast show which she's made profitable. The Naked Baker is Lizzie's secret. Tired of fighting her attraction to Blue, Lizzie agrees to go out with him. The chemistry is perfect and the romance is hot. Blue wears his heart on his sleeve and is very open with Lizzie about his feelings. But Lizzie struggles with her secret and not sharing it with Blue makes her feel guilty. This book is all about love and trust and people's personal hang-ups with preconceived ideas. For readers of Melissa's romance books you know what to expect from the romantic formulas and family loyalties which dominate the themes. However this book may stretch personal preferences a little when it comes to accepting some of the sexual scenes.

ARC REVIEWSeized by Love is part of a massive universe created by Melissa Foster, Love in Bloom. The Ryders are just a small part of that universe. I keep calling it that because that is what it feels like everything is connected and everything fits together perfectly, it doesn't matter if you have read all of them or not. Never having read any of the books before I found this one humourous and romantically sweet and it was okay as a stand alone from the larger part of the universe.I loved Lizzie, I swear with as much guilt she was carrying around you think she was a devout catholic. Blue, ohhhh, he was a sweetie and so patient. So Lizzie is putting her sister through college by hosting a web series called The Naked Baker where she wears nothing but an apron and heels and talks very suggestively. She started in college and managed to make enough money to pay off her student loans and buy her flower shop. But wherein lies the problem is that no one knows it's her. She has lied to everybody about it. Blue has been trying to get Lizzie into more than just a friend relationship. When Lizzie finally gives she starts to feel the pressure even more. Finally when the truth comes out she may have just lost everyone she cares about.Overall, I had some problems with the book but it was personal preference. This book really was a joy to read and I would definitely be willing to read more from Melissa Foster

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.I liked this traditional romance novel with a twist. The twist being Lizzie second job as "the Naked Baker" where she does webcasts of her baking wearing an apron, heels and nothing more. I thought her side job was a great way to help her get out of debt and I didn't get why she was so embarrassed and ashamed that she told no body in her life. I thought she should be proud to be taking care of herself so her constant shame bugged me.Blue had been asking Lizzie out for a year and when she finally agrees a swift and passionate affairs begins. I went from loving Blue, to hating him to thinking he was an all right guy.Seized by Love has a good cast of characters, lovely romance and plenty of steam and the occasional bit of corny dialogue. Overall, a nice read.

Blue and Lizzie have wanted each other for a year, but Lizzie has fought against her feelings no matter how much she wanted to be with Blue. Her secret webcast is a shadow that hangs over her like a dark cloud and almost ruins any chance she has with Blue.I love the connection between these two characters. The love they have for each other is so pure. Blue loves everything about Lizzie and she feels the exact same way. The only problem is that she is ashamed of what she is hiding from him even though she is doing it for her family. Of course there is a happily-ever-after, but you have to read the book to find out what happens. Melissa is so good at happy endings!I absolutely loved Blue & Lizzie's spontaneous, romantic, love story. "Seized By Love" is another swoon-worthy hit by Melissa Foster.*I received an ARC in return for an honest review*

Lizzie has a big secret. One that she's embarrassed by and has helped to stop an social life you ever had or dreamed of having. Blue Ryder has been after her for almost a year to go on a date with her, but she decides it better to just keep to herself than expose her extra job she has to help get her baby sister through college.Blue is determined to get Lizzie to say yes and slowly starts to break down her walls. The only thing is once the walls come down, will Blue be able to handle what's on the other side?I loved Blue and Lizzie! I didn't want to put the book down, needing to know when Lizzie's secret would finally come out and how everyone would react. As with any Melissa Foster book, you get hot, sexy men and strong women who can hold their own.Another great book for Melissa!

Seized by love is a sweet and hot romance. Lizzie is a strong, hardworking heroine. She is doing her best to take care of herself and her family. She owns her own flower shop, but also runs a podcast to earn money to put herself and her sister through college. I have to say that I adore the Ryder family already and can’t wait to read more stories with this family in them. Blue Ryder has been trying to get Lizzie to date him, but she keeps him at arms length until the temptation of him gets too much for her. When Lizzie reveals her secret to Blue his immediate reaction kind of made me mad, but he eventually came to his senses and tried to help Lizzie and be there for her instead of being judgmental. “It was true what people said about going through difficult times together and how struggles could bring people closer together.”I listened to this story on audiobook and really liked the narration. The narrator brought the book to life for me in a way that made listening even more enjoyable than if I had read it myself. -4 Stars-

This wasn't a bad book, but I didn't like it all that much. In fact, I was less than half way into it when I wanted to throw my Kindle across the room. Why? I couldn't identify with any of the characters and Lizzie really bugged me.I had trouble from the start, with the fact that Lizzie was too embarrassed by her webcast to tell anyone about it. If she truly had that many hangups, I find it hard to believe she'd be capable of actually performing in front of the camera. Furthermore, she found it surprisingly simple to express her sexual needs to Blue - not indicative of a person with issues of modesty. Then, to agonize so much about who to tell and how they'd react. It just seemed like much ado about nothing. It's not like she was putting on a live sex show! The other thing that bothered me was the saccharine sweetness of the characters and the way they spoke to each other. It was very Little House on the Prairie, with sex. It got old to read I love you so much, and to see the love in their eyes, and I just threw up a little in my mouth. I enjoy romance novels and I'm not a cynic, but this, with its manufactured conflict and unrealistically corny characters, was too much for me. The writing itself was fine, with few grammatical errors, but the conversations seemed contrived. I'm sure there are many who will love this book. I'm not one of them.

I fell in love with Seized by Love the moment I get to read an excerpt from the last Melissa Foster book I have read. It piqued my interest, never really believing that Lizzie got that in her. Oh yes, I was excited to see the other side of this wonderful, amazing and good girl. And when I say other side, it’s the kind that would make your jaws dropped and eyes wide. Oh yes, because our good-responsible-and-hardworking girl right here is the Naked Baker herself. But what made me love Lizzie’s character is the fact that she runs the sexy webcast not for herself, but for her younger’s sister education. No one knew about it: not her friends, most especially not her family. She promised herself she’d stop once Maddy is done with school. She built walls around her, to protect her heart and most especially her secret. Even though she wanted to be with Blue, she refused his invitations. She just knew that once she says yes, she’d fall right into him.Blue already fell for Lizzie Barber the first time he saw her. He didn’t know the reason behind why she refuses him. But he never gave up. They were still friends, and every time she needs him, he was just a phone call away. And when FINALLY Lizzie said yes, he couldn’t believe his luck. He was going to do everything to make her feel and see that they were perfect for each other. He was ready for Lizzie Baker, but was he ready for her secrets? Two of the most important ingredients in a relationship are honesty and trust. I may not have agreed with Lizzie keeping it a secret from Blue, but I understood her reasons. It wasn’t easy for her, but it was necessary. She wanted nothing else but for Maddy to finish her education without suffering financial problems the way she did. Somehow, this had justified what she was doing. As for Blue, it was heartbreaking to see his initial reaction, which almost had me hate him. One has to step back though and think from his point of view: love struck and he has waited for quite a long time to be surprised with her revelation. It took sometime but realized his love can overcome everything.I love the ending. You can fell how much Blue love her, and is willing to do anything for her, even fix broken bridges to make her happy. It was such a beautiful, and touching scene that made this book even more perfect. What to expect in a Melissa Foster novel: (1) swoon moments (2) a whole lot of romance (3) to-die for dialogues (4) heartwarming scenes (5) great family dynamics (6) interesting plot – and the first book in the Ryders Series has it all.      I don’t believe I need to state how much I love Melissa Foster’s work.   Anyone who follows my reviews knows of my fascination with her work.  Her stories are compelling, engaging and not at all predictable. Seized by Love is the first book in the book in Love In Bloom: The Ryders series.  Of all the books that I have read by this author, I do believe that this is the raunchiest of them thus far.   There were scenes that would make you blush from your head to your toes.  That being said Seized by Love is suitable for mature readers only. What would you do if the woman of your dreams rejected every effort you have made to secure a date with her?    Would you give up and call it a day or will you persist with the hope that you would one day be able to convince her that you are worthy?  Well, this was the challenge that Blue Ryder was faced with. From the moment, he laid eyes on Lizzie Barber he knew that she was the one for him, if only he could convince her of that. He spent a year trying to convince her of that fact.  Talk about persistence and perseverance! Blue and Lizzie are friends, however, he wanted to move beyond the friend zone.  Lizzie, however, was fearful of going beyond friendship as she was living a double life.  She had secrets that she did not want to be revealed for fear that her friends and family would think less of her. This fear was further enhanced by the fact that she was viewed as a straight - laced person.  Blue, however, was determined to break down her barriers.   Lizzie was not comfortable with her secret, however, she felt compelled to continue with the charade as she believed it was the only way she could help her sister. I admired her convictions. The fact that she was willing to do something that she was uncomfortable with so that she could help her younger sibling was an indication of the selfless, compassionate and caring person that she was.  It was, therefore, understandable why Blue was enamored with her. It was fun seeing Blue and Lizzie together.  They were perfect for each other and it was evident that they were very much in love. What I enjoy about Melissa’s work is her ability to incorporate real life issues into her stories.  This ability enables her readers to be pulled into each aspect of her character’s lives. In this instance, we see that love, no matter how strong will always be tested.  How we respond to the tests will determine the length of our relationships. While reading, I was reminded how easy it is for  persons to pass judgement on individuals based on their actions without understanding what led to them making that decision.  In addition, we see how easy it is to pass judgement when the one making the judgement is not in the position of the person who they are judging.  I thought this was an amazing story. I can’t wait to read the remainder of the series. If you are eager to discover if Blue and Lizzie’s love was able to pass the test, then you need to get yourself a copy of Seized by Love. I recommend it highly.   Miss me?” Blue whispered against her ear. “How could I?” She already felt like part of his family’s inner circle. “I love you so much, even when you’re not here, you’re still with me.”

Seized by Love is the first in "The Ryders" series from Melissa Foster. In the spirit of the Bradens and the Remingtons, Melissa Foster introduces us to the Ryder family. Blue Ryder first met Lizzie Barber in the group wedding set in the Seaside Summers series. In the year since they met, Blue has been relentlessly asking Lizzie out, with no success. I love Blue's dedication. He decided that he was interested in Lizzie and was patient in waiting until she was ready. He is confident and strong but sensitive at the same time. I love his open and loving relationships with his siblings, and especially with his parents. He and his parents have a wonderful, open relationship where Blue is comfortable sharing with them, and seeking their counsel. Its a very healthy parent/child relationship, even in adulthood. Blue is a wonderful character who knows his strengths and his faults, and readily acknowledges where he falls short of his own expectations in his relationship with Lizzie. He demonstrates a lot of growth throughout this book, but honestly, I loved him from the beginning and I'm not sure I can put in words what it is about Blue that makes him an especially endearing character.Contrast Blue's family with Lizzie's family dynamic. Her reluctance to get involved with Blue is rooted in what's going on in her life. She's involved in certain activities to support her sister's college education. Activities that could estrange her from her parents, a relationship that is strained at best, due to her parents strictly conservative views. Lizzie's unwillingness to stop her current activities, and the additional time commitment makes fitting in a relationship difficult at best. I struggled a bit with Lizzie for a while, mainly because she feels ashamed with what's she's doing. As a result, Lizzie doesn't share this information with Blue up front, and its something that has the potential to have a huge impact on their relationship. Not that I specifically haven an option regarding Lizzie's "activities", but if she felt ashamed of her activities, perhaps that should be a clue that she could reconsider what she's doing. But fundamentally, it was something that she should have disclosed to Blue before he fell head over heels for her. It made accepting Lizzie's activities more difficult for me as a reader because she withheld the information from Blue. It took a while for Lizzie to redeem herself in my eyes. But by the end, she did.I also like that the author first introduced a major hurdle / challenge to Lizzie and Blue's relationship early - typically the couple has a longer period to develop their relationship and have a solid foundation before something happens to shake that foundation. In this book, the author introduces the strife in their relationship sooner, and gives the characters more time to dig into how they work through their challenges and come out the other end successfully. The level of detail of the sexual activities described in the book is pretty consistent with Melissa Foster, but Lizzie and Blue's sexual relationship had some more "intimate" aspects that felt new to me in a Melissa Foster book. It appears the author is exploring a bit of sexual variety in her writing that I find interesting.

Blue and Lizzie are meant to be together. They have been circling each other, teasing each other, and loving each other for a year yet Lizzie refuses to date Blue. Together they make sense, they even each other out, they protect each other, and they belong together. I have been curious about Blue since he was first introduced as a character in Seaside. When he met Lizzie he knew instantly that he wanted to know her better but he had his work cut out for him to win her over. I loved his persistence. He dealt with being put in the friend zone by Lizzie yet never gave up hope that she would come around to his way of thinking. There were a few times that I didn’t love Blue’s reaction to Lizzie’s life decisions but he managed to redeem himself, to prove that he was deserving of loving Lizzie. Lizzie has a secret and it is a big one. I liked that this secret was something that proved how giving, open hearted, and loving she was. While Lizzie struggled with this secret and knew that it could cause problems in her life with a boyfriend, her friends, and her family she wasn’t willing to give it up or share it just to make her life easier. Even when the secret comes out she stays strong to herself. Seized by Love at Seaside is part of the Sweet with Heat: Summer Series by Addison Cole. The books are fun, loving, and sweet without the language and the explicit scenes. I find myself devouring them and anxious for more from Addison Cole. I recommend picking up your copy and enjoying these wonderful and fun characters. Blue and Lizzie’s love story is an interesting story. Lizzie has a HUGE secret, one that most men could not handle. Blue has his life planned out, can Lizzie fit into his life? This is the first book in this series that there was a time that I did not like the hot, hunky, sexy male character throughout the entire book. There were times that Blue drove me crazy. He redeemed himself in grand style, but I wasn’t sure if he could win me over. While I was not sure of Blue, I was sure of Lizzie and Blue. Their relationship was strong, stable, and full of love. In true Melissa Foster style you could feel their love coming right out of the pages. Even when they were having rough times there was no doubt they loved each other. Lizzie is amazing. Even when she risked losing the man of her dreams she stayed strong. She held onto what she knew she had to do to continue helping her sister. The secret she held onto would put any relationship on shaky ground, yet she had to keep the faith that Blue would come around and learn to accept (not like) what she was doing. Once again Melissa Foster wrote an amazing story. This is a series that is better read in order but each book is a stand-a-lone story. **CONTENT WARNING: Due to mature content, recommended for readers aged 18+**

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review. Lizzie Barber owns a flower shop in a small town. She is having trouble with something big that is happening behind closed doors. She is the host of a webcast called Naked Baker. It was originally started when she was in college and her father got sick and she needed a way to pay her own way to finish her education. Now she is paying for her younger sisters education and the idea of her friends and family finding out about her little secret is beginning to eat at her. Enter Blue Ryder, well he has been in her life for a year now and has been asking her out because he knows they would be great together. But Lizzie doesn't want to start something with him until she is finished with Naked Baker. After a rough day she finally accepts Blue's invite to a bonfire, not a date, and she can't help but think that she should have accepted his invitation a year ago. Things are getting serious between Blue and Lizzie quickly because things just click between them and when love is right it is right. But what will happen when Blue learns about Naked Baker? Can Lizzie survive the lose of the only man she has ever loved? Will Blue survive this betrayal or is it really a betrayal? Maybe she should have told him, her family and her friends from the start instead, then maybe she would not feel so guilty. How will everyone she loves react to her secret? Will love win in the end?I first read Melissa Foster's Wild Boys series and loved them and I have a lot of her books but not enough time to read them as I would like but I do love them when I do get the chance because she can take you away as if you are there with each story. I can't wait to read more from this series and maybe soon I can dive into her other series.

I sometimes wonder if Melissa Foster is one of the hardest working romance authors in the business! I am astounded that she manages to produce amazing stories at such a quick rate! But she does and all of her series are awesome! And this book is no different!Have you every kept a secret so huge, you know if you ever reveal it you whole life will change and not for the better. Lizzie Barber faces that problem…you see she is The Naked Baker! This is something Lizzie has done since her college days in order to pay her way through college and now she continues in order to pay for her sister. But while hiding this part of her, she has also put up a thick wall around her emotions so she doesn't get hurt. But in doing that, she also rejects the one man she has ever cared about…Blue Ryder.Blue Ryder has been cheated on in the past, which makes him extra wary with the women he meets. All except for Lizzie, since meeting her at a wedding a year ago he has been half in love with her, but after a year of being turned down, he finally get Lizzie to say yes to a date!!! And he is thrilled that finally he is with the women he loves…until she reveals her dark secret and he feels betrayed. Now Lizzie has finally told everyone in her life and it has not gone as well as she would have hoped and now she feels more alone than ever! Will Blue and Lizzie ever be able to trust each other again? This is another great book in the Love in Bloom series! As normal with a Melissa Fosters book, the story is beautifully written, with no plot holes and lovable characters! I have re-read the story again and again and I still love every second of this story. I give Seized By Love 10 out of 10!

Seized By Love is another Home Run for Melissa Foster. Blue and Lizzie aka The Naked Baker. What better way to fall in love with someone than to start out as friends and really get to know each other. This is another great addition to the Love in Bloom series.Blue has been asking Lizzie out for a year and she has been shooting him down for a year. Blue knows what he wants and is not about to give up on it. He feels that eventually he will wear Lizzie down and get her to go out with him. Blue can do most anything DIY and has been helping Lizzie remodel her kitchen along with remodeling his cabin.Lizzie owns a P-Town Petals by day and does a web show called The Naked Baker at night. Lizzie created the web show in college to earn extra money to pay for college and to get money to start her flower shop. Lizzie thought she was done with The Naked Baker until her father falls ill and her parents no longer have money to put her sister Maddie through college. She brings The Naked Baker back so she can have money to put Maddie through school. She does not want Maddie starting her life in debt. This book has laughter, sadness, and lots of hot sex. You get in depth with the characters and can't help but to root for them. Being friends first and getting through the getting to know you awkward phase of relationships makes the dating part a little easier. The story grabs you from the first chapter and keeps you excited for what comes next. You completely fall in love with Blue and Lizzie and can't help but want to get naked and bake.

Seized by Love is book one in the new spin off featuring the Ryder's this time.We first met Blue Ryder in the Seaside series and I fell in love with his character in Seaside Nights and I really had him pegged to be with Sky - but she found her soulmate in Sawyer, so I was hoping for a book dedicated to him. When he meets Lizzie at a friend's wedding he knows she is THE ONE and makes it his missions to make her his. And after reading this book, she is just absolutely perfect for him Lizzie manages to rebuff his advances for a year before deciding what the heck and gives in and agrees to go a date with hi, Lizzie has a secret though. In order to make ends meet and help pay her sisters tuition she had to resort to extreme measures to make money. Thus the Naked Baker was born - a weekly webcast she does where she, well she bakes naked!I absolutely loved this idea, Lizzie is such a straight laced kinda girl that the idea of her doing something like this is off the wall for her - but it also fit with her character as well and the storyline. This is start of another brilliant series and as usual with anything I have read of Melissa Fosters, the strong friendship and family ties are ever present. I just want to pack up my things and move to Cape Cod and have all of her characters are my friends. I love how she is able to draw you into her characters lifes and make you feel apart of it all. This book has characters old and new and I for one cant wait for the next book in the Ryder's series!5 perfect stars!

So I'm going to start this by saying that Melissa Foster has been one of go-to authors, ever since I read the first book of hers almost two years ago. But the last couple of books I've just kind of been, eh on. So I thought it would be best to take a break from her books for a bit. Now a few months later I saw this book and thought this would be the perfect time to jump back in with The Ryder's.I have to say one thing that I like about Mrs. Fosters books is the reliability. You always know what you're going to get when reading one of her books.I have to say I wanted to like Lizzie, I really did. I have to say I did really like how much she cared about her family. And how she really cared about her sisters education and wanting to help with paying it. But that's about where it ends for me on the other hand I found her kind of whiny.I really liked Blue. I really think he's the only thing that saved this story, to me. And kept me reading on. I really liked how sweet he was and he had the patience of a saint. I thought this book was an enjoyable read. But I have to say Lizzy's whining/complaining did become kind of repetitive in several of the chapters just written different ways. But other than that I thought it was a good read. If you like Mrs. Fosters books or light and fluffy romances than you'll enjoy this book. I'm giving this book 3.5 stars out of 5!!!!***I received an arc of this book from Tasty Book Tours for my honest review***

Reviewed by AubreyBook provided by the publisher for reviewReview originally posted at Romancing the BookI loved this book. From start to finish I fell in love with Lizzie and Blue. I love everything this book and feel like I really got to know both characters because the author did such a good job at making the main characters come to life. They had so many dimensions to their character and I would totally be friends with both of them if they existed outside of their novel. This is my first ever Melissa Foster book and I’m hooked. I now want to go out and buy all her books from the beginning. She has such an amazing way of writing and describing the characters and setting that you want to jump in and become a part of their circle.Blue Ryder is the hottest name ever. It so works. He is such a caring man. He needs to write his own book on how to get the girl and keep her. I loved the transformation that he went throughout the book. It only made him more endearing and lovable.Lizzie was a riot. A strong woman with equally strong convictions. She is wicked smart and cares more about others than herself. She too went through a transformation that made her a better person.I’m so excited to read Duke’s story in Claimed by Love. Duke seems like the kind of alpha male I like to read about. I love that I have so many more books to read by this author. New favorite author has been found!!

When we first met Blue I was sure he would end up with Sky (although "Sky Blue" was moving too close to corny). But... Sky met Sawyer and it was perfection... and Sky and Blue were meant to continue on being the very best of friends. Now... Blue and Lizzie??? Is there something beyond perfection?I had a little bit of a love/hate relationship with this book. I want to say I loved the flow to their story... the way they moved together and apart. It was like the ebb and flow of the ocean. But... I also hated the flow... it took a year of Blue expressing his interest, and then they crashed together and it was heaven. And then, right around the 1/2 way part Lizzie tells her secret and everything "shatters". And then it took FOREVER for things to resolve. That said... this book had me. Like every other Melissa Foster book... the characters grabbed me from page one. I was drawn right into their story. I could feel what they were going through. They're so real.And... again... a Melissa Foster book is nothing without it's family bond. The Ryder family is that family that everyone wishes they were a part of. The love and support is something of a dream. One of my favorite scenes had to be with Lizzie talking with Blue's mom and soon-to-be sister-in-law in his mom's kitchen. It flawlessly showed the welcoming nature that Melissa Foster's families always feature.

4.5 starsI have discovered a little while ago this author, I like so much her stories and how she writes that just ended one there is the desire to read another one.Although it is part of a very broad series, it is the first book of the mini-series "The Ryders", in which the protagonists are the various components of the family Ryders. In this first episode we know best Blue Ryders.Lizzie Barber is a florist and her family have great economic difficulty. To pay for her studies and those of her sisters decides to practice a very profitable night job but she's ashamed. Blue Ryders has a crush on her. He tries several times to ask her to date but she always refuses, afraid that he discovers her secret. But one day she can not resist and accept his invitation. He is more and more in love with her. What will happen if he finds out her secret?Lizzie is a sweet and generous woman, willing to do a job that she doesn't like in order to help her family. Blue is a man in love, very loving and caring, wants to make it clear to Lizzie that in life sometimes you have to ask for help. Together they are a couple really magical and special. It 's a sweet and romantic romance, with extraordinary characters and a compelling plot.I recommend it to those who love Melissa Foster and romantic novel.

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~Any Melissa Foster reader will be delighted with the start of this new series - which again intertwines previously introduced characters into a new run of stories. I really enjoyed this book, because although we can be certain that things will be resolved (after all we are in it for the romance!), there were times ... when self-sabotage, on both fronts looked to be a serious contender to win out. I liked that Lizzie's business acumen was recognised and celebrated, even if it was due to an unexpected venture. There were plenty of hot, sexy moments - there was no shortage of chemistry, once they let go, that is for sure. There was enough angst to be interesting, without it becoming repetitive, and some wonderful humour too. The whole cast made it a fuller book, and as the rest of the Ryder clan fall through the series, I will be cheering along with them. Thank you Ms Foster for another sexy, atmospheric and entertaining read.
