This was a pretty good book. Ginny Peterson thought she had it all great job, great friends and an even greater boyfriend until she caught him cheating with another woman. Ginny buries herself in her work until her friend Kari convinces her that she needs a night out on the town when she meets Tristan Armstrong a British tattooed billionaire with an accent that curls her toes! He’s rich, powerful and can't keep his eyes off Ginny and her delicious curves. This was a really good book although I don't think I could do the long distance relationship thing. I really liked both of these character's and I also liked Ginny's bff Kari. I didn't like Ginny's ex Brad he was creepy to me. The sex scenes were hot. When I started reading this book I didn't know that this book had a cliffhanger thank god book two is already out This was my first time reading this author. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Starts Out Sweet and Ends Oh so Sexy!Oceans Apart is the first book I have read from Amanda Heartley and will not be my last. I enjoy her writing style and the balance of the story line.Virginia or Ginny as she goes by, has been betrayed in the worst way. Sure it has been six months or so, but she isn't ready to give love another go just yet. Ginny concentrates on work while moving on from the past and living in the now. That type of living includes her best friend and attention getter, Kari. While at the club one Saturday night, Kari accidentally finds the perfect guy for Ginny while giving her a pep talk. Enter Tristan Armstrong.Tristan is in town for business, then headed back to his home in England. He was sitting at the club to unwind from his stuffy life while away. Never in a million years did he think an American girl would tickle his fancy like Ginny did. This is where the story gets interesting as I am a big fan of email and texts back and forth between couples. After spending some time together, Ginny gives Tristan her Facebook information and they promise to keep in touch. Boy does Tristan keep in touch, he is explained as an English business man (with a few book boyfriend traits hiding under his suit), but give this guy a computer and he transformed in my mind. This is where the book amped up the sexy a few hundred notches. Tristan said and typed such sweet and dirty things to Ginny-I loved it!The relationship is difficult for Tristan and Ginny to navigate from 5,000 miles away. As I was reading, I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. Which it does. In a big way. The book is well written and I am on pins and needles to see what happens next. Thank you Amanda Heartley for the opportunity to read it.

Hot English accent, tattooed dirty talking, setting, Tristan... sign me up. He has morals works hard and is yummy... Ginny is an easy going down to earth smart 23y.o who was cheated on by her boyfriend. Oceans apart is a really good romance story with an ocean between the H and h. Throw in a crazy stalker ex (h' s) money Hungrey femme fatale (H' s) and the odds are not in favor of our couple. Good short read, cliffhanger but all next books are out...

Hot, steamy, couldn't put it down. I was so into the book that I had no clue that it was about to end and almost threw my iphone across the room when I realized I had to wait until book 2 to continue! OMG! If cliff hangers make you mad be forewarned. But the story is great. Ginny and Tristan are so into each other that it doesn't matter if they can't actually touch - it's still hot!

Ginny has decided to finally move on with her life after her break-up with her boyfriend Brad. She broke up with Brad when she caught him cheating on her and she was pretty upset for a while. She decides to finally go out with her friend/roommate one night and she runs into a hot british man at the bar. They get to talking and hit it off. They decide to meet again the following day for a day at the beach and get to know each other a little better. Tristan goes to the States for a meeting with his dad. His dad owns a company in England and is pretty wealthy. Although Tristan comes from money, he doesn't care to have a cushy job behind a desk and a computer. He likes to work out doors and get his hands dirty. When he meets Ginny he instantly likes her. They decide to exchange numbers and start a long distance friendship that later turns into more. They both have feelings for each other but it's hard for them to do anything or express how they feel through text message or via webcam. But things heat up between them and let me tell you.....the scenes were freaking hot between them when they start sexting and then when they meet again via webcam.I find it hot when they do the whole sexting. I've never done a webcam especially an erotic one like them but it sure sounds hot and fun.I thought this first part of Ocean's Apart was wonderful. Amanda doesn't seem to fail me when it comes to her stories. I am antsy for the next part because it left off in a cliffhanger, but I don't mind the cliffhangers at all. I find them more intriguing and I love the feeling of anticipating the next book.**I was given an ARC for an honest review**I totally recommend this book, it was magnificent and totally HOT!!

This is an amazing story but I was not happy with the end. Yes it ended too soon. Nothing wrong with that except that I was not ready for it to end. So with that being said, I loved this one. Ginny was trying to get over a bad breakup and with the help of her BFF Kari, she just might do that. Meeting Tristan at the club was something she was not expecting but she was happy about it. After all, he is British and that sexy accent has her swooning. After spending most of Saturday with him, he has to leave early Sunday going back to London. She doesn't want the time to end. So they exchange information and she friends him on Facebook. They will keep in touch that way. After a few months messaging and talking on Skype and venturing into unknown things for Ginny. She loves it and the feelings are growing between them. But there is over 5,000 miles between them. Can they make a relationship work? Will Tristan talk his father into branching out to the States and then he can be with Ginny? What will Ginny do when the ex-boyfriend turns back up? This is a first for my from Amanda Heartley and I can't wait for more.**Copy provided by the author for my honest review.

Slow to start but oh so worth it. Genius!!!The build up is phenomenal! Oceans Apart is a very sweet romance about two people who instantly have a shared comfort with each other they can't explain. They spend less than 24 hours together and instantly enjoy what little time they have together enough to be long distance friends. And as the duo learn about each other, they favor their time they have to spare enjoying each other from afar. They tell each other their hopes, dreams and their fears. When their trust and companionship adds lust they become closer than ever and in need of more. Friendships are tested, hopes and dreams are what keep your day bright. All to leave you at the end of your seat screaming for more, this is an amazing story of love and hope. I need more!!!!!

So into this book and then the author hits me in the face with the cliffhanger 😩. I am still a bit upset about that I am going have to find the budget to get the rest of the story that drew me in hook line n sinker. Even with that said this was well written and really enjoyed the book, I found the story relatable.

Would be better as a Book insteadToo short and ends in a cliffhanger! 6 "books" total for the story, each ending in their own cliffhanger. Easily forgotten characters, blah story line. Best part of this one? It was free!

This is the start of a great series. It's not a full book however. You need to read all 6 for the whole story. Each book is around 200ish pages. It seems like it will be a good one. I can't wait to see how Tristan and Ginny's relationship gets on. And enjoy more hot sexting!

*Ginny walked in on Brad (her boyfriend) in bed with another woman. Determined to help her best friend, Kari takes Ginny out to a bar, thinking this is the cure-all. Ginny tells Kari that she thinks she is unattractive, Kari takes matters into her own hands and asks a random man at the bar, Tristian if he thinks Ginny is hot, when the stranger replies that actually she is stunning. This leads to a series of events where they wind up going out the next day. Ginny wants to show Tristian the sights (he is from London and is in LA on business). They exchange numbers so they can get to know each other better, even though he is leaving the next day. After exchanging messages and emails Tristian and Ginny become closer, causing Tristian to realize that he wants to be more than friends. Especially after he bumps into an ex who unknowingly puts things into perspective for him regarding his feelings with Ginny.Brad has been following Ginny, 'accidentally' drinking at her local bar and keeps telling her that he wants her back, cheating on her was a mistake, when Ginny tells him to take a hike he is not very happy. What happens when Brad steps up his game from merely following her to something more sinister? Will Ginny and Tristian ever see each other again??I loved this book written by a very talented author, all about whether you should let distance stop you from perusing a relationship with someone. I absolutely loved Ginny she is great. Even though she had been cheated on she didn't let it keep he down for long, and was willing to give Tristain a chance even though he lived in London and her in LA.I also loved Tristian because he didn't let distance stop him from trying to form relationship with Ginny.A great job on th3e villain!! I REALLY DID NOT LIKE BradThis book will leave you wanting more. I loved this book and would highly recommend it to others.

Virginia, or Ginny as she goes by, has had a rough few months. After a bad break-up, she's just not eager to jump back into the dating ring. Her best friend, Kari, tries to get her out of the doldrums by getting her to go clubbing with her every week. And although she's having fun with her friend, she's not interested in any men. That all changes the night she meets Tristan. A British hunk of a man and oooh that accent! Ginny swoons over him and the attraction is mutual. After spending some time together they realize they want to talk more. The only problem is he's in the US on business and lives in England! How can they connect being oh so far away? The Internet is an amazing invention! They embark on an unorthodox relationship via computer and texting. The things this man says to Ginny are just panty- melting and I loved it! Tristan realizes he wants more and is trying to figure out how to work it all out. Plus he wants to protect her from a creepy past flame trying to reconnect. He can't do that very well in London now can he. What to do, what to do?? I really enjoyed this first book in the series! I didn't want to put it down. The relationship building was great- not instant and not too slow. You could feel their attraction building and could totally relate to the predicament of being a half a world away from each other. Should we try it? Long distance relationships just stink so is it worth it? After a few months talking and texting, yes its worth it! There is a bit of a cliff at the end of this book so be forewarned. It's not overly bad but definitely makes me want to read the next book in the series now!Rating: 5 starsHeat: solid 4 flamesI received this book for the express purpose of an honest review. The opinions and rating of this review are solely mine and in no way was I compensated.

The writing was okay, and I liked the characters, but I was unsatisfied with the ending. This is a book series which I understand, but this seemed to be a book that had been separated into PARTS to make more money.I've always thought a book should have a beginning, a middle and an end. Even if it was a series, like the Potter series and 50 Shades, the books didn't end the 'story', but it came to a pausing stage where you understood that that part of the story had been concluded. It was a free download, so when I saw that the 2nd book was only $.99 I went for it.To my utter disappointment, after the confrontation between Tristan and Brad at the beginning of the book I stopped reading. After:1) Brad admitted to stalking her..2) Brad broke into her house with the copy of the key he had made..3) Went on like they were still a couple and that she was going to come back to him..4) Picked up a knife and caressed his finger down the blade..5) Admitted to bugging her room so he knew what she had been up to..6) Trapped her against the wall and got hard from the physical violence..7) Was crazed enough to start a fight with a more powerful man..8) and EVEN after he had been warned with further violence if he didn't leave her alone, he told Ginny they weren't done..Even after all this - she didn't call the cops and report everything that had happened. Talk about someone actually ASKING to be a victim. I wasn't prepared to read the rest of this book considering that Ginny was already concerned that Brad had made a copy of the key Tristan took from Brad before he left.In addition, if she cared about Tristan at all and his safety, why would she leave some physco ex out there to maybe harm him later!danae

After my first foray into reading anything my Amanda Heartley, I am left pleasantly happy and yet cursing the day I started reading this blasted book. Oh don't get me wrong the book is not bad at all. I've just not quite read anything that sucks you so deep into the book and then leaves you with the biggest cliffhanger! I blurted out some profanity when I read this is the end of book 1, and furiously started swiping the pages across my kindle like a mad woman only to find out it wasn't a cruel joke, and I'd have to wait until August to get my next dose of Ginny and Tristan. I liked the characters and I definitely loved their steamy sex scenes. Although, I'd love to know more about their backstory. It would be awesome if book 2 picked up where this one left off and ended at the very end of that amazing scene (ah ah ahhh spoilers), and the whole middle be flash backs from both of them of their lives prior to meeting. Just a thought. Anyway... I really enjoyed the story, and can't wait for more. I think the author did an amazing job or explaining what it's like when you're drawn to someone so far away, and you just want to be with them. I can't imagine being able to live like that. It was a great book, and if you're looking for a quick summer read I would definitely recommend this book, but be prepared for the cliffhanger.

This genre is full of clichés, but not this new book by Amanda Heartley. I was happy to discover that her writing is top notch and the characters are believable. They tug at your heart, as well as your nether regions. The book is full of opposites. Ginny is the shrinking violet that her spicy best friend Kari is teaching to blossom. Tristan is the nice guy Ginny longs for after a string of bad boys like the loser Brad. And then there are the hometowns on opposite sides of the world. Tristan is a dream guy in town for a weekend before flying back to work and family in London. Ginny is tethered to Los Angeles. How are they going to keep the connection going when Tristan flies back over the pond? That’s what made this a page turner for me.We get to see the private agonies of these two who seem to have it all on the outside but struggle with the same career, family and confidence demons we all have. I was completely entranced as the book went from cliffhanger to cliffhanger and the relationship evolved. No spoilers about how they managed the hot sex long distance, but it was new to me. A complete page turner whether you like romance, snappy dialogue or steamy love scenes. The downside? I have to wait for the next installment. In the meantime, I’m downloading the rest of Amanda’s books.

Oceans Apart, Book 1 is the first part of a new adult romance series by author Amanda Heartley. This captivating story tells of a random boy meets girl encounter in an LA club and the growing online and offline relationship that develops between a young couple whose lives are over 5,000 miles apart. Is it based on real-life experience? Maybe...!Ginny, a hard-working California girl, training in the legal profession. Tristan, the son of a mega-rich real estate developer. Their social circles are so different yet their attraction to each other so strong right from the start.Living so far away from each other and in different time zones brings its challenges and old flames on both sides cause problems that don't make life any easier; testing their relationship to the limit. Perhaps too much for their love to survive across the miles?Definitely a page-turner and there are some very hot, panty-melting scenes to get you tingling! I love this story of Ginny and Tristan; I've got book 2 in the pipeline and I hope you do too.You can connect with me on Facebook and stay up to date with new releases with my NewsletterHugs XOXO
